Rudy is an amazing flyball dog owned by two amazing twins. The twins are two of the most active club owners in flyball handling the BC Boomerangs busy schedule. Rudy has over 262,000 points in his lengthy career. He is a true energizer bunny disguised as a border collie. As of the end of September 2022 Rudy is the top point earner this year. Rudy has had a great career traveling to tournaments throughout the Midwest and even attending the coconut classic and other tournaments out East. He is well known for being a very steady dog who loves the game. Always ready to play. Please vote for Rudy, Ratty and Flippy.

Lilli is a height dog extraordinaire. She has been running flyball for over 11 years for Michelle Merrill and occasionally a family member when needed all over the country. The most extraordinary thing about Lilli though is she just keeps going. Stepping up when needed to run full time even in her senior years.Carrying regular teams and green teams to victory with her consistency. Not phased by all the big dogs she never slows or hesitates when passing. She loves to play flyball and her solid consitant running has helped train many new flyball dogs over the years. Lilli is a great ambassador each year at the big dog show in Houston. Greeting the public and allowing petting politely from the curious flyball crowds. Lilli may not be the fastest dog out there but she and Michelle represent what Flyball is really about a dog and owner enjoying time together supporting team members and having fun.

On behalf of Alamo Racing Canines, I'd like to nominate Ashley Stricklin's Ranger for Region 5 MVP. Ranger didn't have the best start in life; he was found stray in Hondo with a badly mangled hind leg. Ranger had been shot with a gun and the leg healed in a nonfunctional manner. Ashley did the amputation on the limb herself, and adopted Ranger. Once he healed, Ranger became Ashley's first flyball dog, running in all positions successfully - as a TRIPOD! Ranger is always a fan favorite at the Houston World Series of Dog Shows, he loves to hear the cheering in the crowd as he smiles all the way to the box. Ranger also loves running for the junior handlers in our region. Ranger deserves to be Region 5's MVP because he has so much love for the game, despite what he's been through. Vote for Ranger!

Simba has run steadily and consistently since he first started flyball in early 2012. He loves racing fierce competitors, talking smack at the start line, and showing off his rubberized toy rewards in the runback. Simba is Barkworthy's go to dog for training new handlers (small, tall, young, and old) how to navigate the runback, as well as teaching new dogs how to pass and drive hard. His personal best time was a 3.8 and he is still frequently hitting the low 4's. Versatile Simba can run in any position, with any other dogs, plus he is fun to run, and fun to watch!

Zoom is a fast fun mix that usually runs on Surf City Flyball Team in California. He started out his career in 2013 usually running in the Regular Division. Now that he is older, he likes to spend his time helping other clubs out in the Open Division/Class. He is a Region 6 and 16 staple that we have all come to rely on to do his job. Zoom has over 46,500 points and earned his Iron last year in CanAm. No other Region 6 dog is more deserving.

Maddy is a wonder. For the last 10 years she has been the anchor for Stumptown Racers. Always a happy girl she has trained numerous handlers, both in our club and others. In fact, she may have had more different handlers at tournaments than any other dog in the region. She has had a paw in the training of most of the dogs we now have on the club. Maddie will earn her Iron Dog award at our tournament in November having earned her 70K award at the Muddy Paws tournament this summer. Although her average times are somewhat average these days, 10 years ago 3.8 sec was one of the faster times in the region. At 10 years old she still runs like she did as a pup. The most outstanding thing about Maddie is her Flyball smile. Never was there a dog that so loved flyball that you can see it in her smile. Please vote for Maddie, it will make her smile!

An MVP I is a dog who can step in anywhere, anytime, and do anything that club needs. Not only CAN Thimble do that, she HAS done that. She has run with numerous teams in our region over 10 years. She has traveled with another club when her mom couldn't attend a tournament! This Irondog is starting to slow down but her reliability remains. As a club owner I have come to realize that there are few dogs who can do ALL the things: run for anyone at the same speed, pass anyone and be passed by anyone, start a race with consistent timing, and give it all - every. single. race. She has even worked at demos and allowed strangers to handle her! She is always one of our demo dogs at workshops, helping us to bring new people into the sport. Her value is seen in her ability to ignore everything around her and do her job. She doesn't react to other dogs, a ball in her lane, a misloaded ball, or even a handler who fell over. Thimble has demonstrated that she has the heart and talent to be up there with the best of the best.

We are sneaking behind Karen's back to nominate Mystic for Region 8's MVP. Mystic was a rescue who bounced around to multiple homes before landing as a foster with Karen. She quickly realized she was the Worlds Most Perfect Dog and began her training in flyball. Mystic has been racing since 2011, and has earned over 80,000 points. She has been a solid and consistent dog for her entire flyball career. She is one of those dogs who doesn't really need a handler - she would happily run herself. She provided a core foundation for our team, and has a calm presence that we have utilized to train generations of green dogs and handlers, including several junior handlers. Our team wouldn't have been able to achieve all of the successes we have without Mystic. Mystic will be running at CanAM this year at 13 years old! Please cheer for Mystic at CanAM and vote for her for Region 8 MVP.

Teal started this season as a green dog, who has quickly turned into a very reliable regular racing dog, her excitement in the lanes makes everyone smile. We adore that she's not your typical flyball breed. She's pretty darn amazing for a Britney :)

You cant watch Shady in the lanes and not help but smile. She makes herself known, you will often see her bouncing in excitement or her pit crew cleaning up behind her. She was part of the Fur Fun CanAm Multi team that won in 2014. She has been a pleasure to be around in the lanes for the last 10 years and Thats So Fetch believes an amazing choice for regional MVP.

Rocket Relay's Get a Grip Our ten-year-old Border Collie, Grip, has been a constant in our Fast'n FURious lineups for many years. His presence in the lanes, intensity for the race, and powerful stride have made him an invaluable anchor dog for his teammates and impressive to watch. Ever consistent, we can count on one hand his faults over his career. He was also always able and willing to give that little more if needed in the final push. It was so exciting to watch him bring home that final leg. And he always managed to do it looking amazing with his huge coat flowing...LOL. Himsis some handsomes!! His intensity, power, and speed are what stood out on the mats. However, an equally valuable attribute of his to FnF is his complete love of his humans. His favorite part of flyball is greeting/socializing with his human teammates. Full body wag, tail thumping, and a huge smile on his face. He basks in making everyone smile and enjoys every second of doing it. It is with great pride that we submit our Grip as Region 10's MVP for this racing season!

I would like to nominate Tru, owned and very much loved by Nadia Miller. Tru has run with FAME for over 10 years and has earned his Iron dog award. He is a steady, consistent and reliable dog that can run in any position and for any handler. Just point and release. Tru has run on many teams in different divisions and has been rock solid, with the green dogs to the more seasoned. He has one job, and he is totally focused on doing it...barking the whole time until it is his turn. He is twelve now and ran his last tournament in September where earned his 50,000-point title in the last race. A fitting way for his retirement. Tru has been an important and consistent dog in the FAME line ups for all these years and for this reason, I am honoured to nominate him for Region 10 MVP.

Frank's pride F4 Phantom is named after a jet and boy can he fly. He is a 6 year old DEAF border collie with baby blue eyes that loves to play. His favorite sport is Flyball. He started running when he was 1 and got his onyx by the time he was 5. He also loves frisbee and dock diving but flyball is his most favorite sport. He is good boy and always waiting for the next adventure. Pretty amazing for a deaf boy! Barkaholic's nominate Phantom for regional MVP, region 11, FL

Lego is the littlest package of enthusiasm and is well known throughout the region. During his 10 years of flyball he has overcome many challenges that should have limited his ability to play flyball but he has proven otherwise. As a height dog that has ran 4.0 sec at times and he continues to save the day and run on div 1 teams at 11 years old and for several different handlers. Above all else, he illuminates the lanes with his colorful character and is always entertaining to watch. He makes sure everyone knows when he is on the lanes. His special ability to put on the brakes right at the start line for a re-run is the funniest thing to watch. The box loaders know his slobber like no other and ball shaggers are familiar with cleaning up his tug destruction on the lanes. Photographers seem to love capturing his animated character and he always put a smile on everyones face.

Miss Jiff Little Red Ranger. This lovely terrier mix has time and time again come to the team's rescue when we were down a dog, short a dog, or just plain needing her to run. She never failed to run to the best of her ability and although not the fastest dog on the team, she was most consistent. Born in 2010 she started racing in 2012 and is still going strong at 12 years of age. She is currently working on her 20000 points. Please help us put a well deserved Most Valuable Player title on the lovely little lady.

I'd like to nominate Sydney from Aftershock for Region 12 MVP. Though she be but little she is fierce! If you play in region 12 you may not have noticed her, she is a tiny little terrier girl, but you have likely raced against her at some point in the last decade. Sydney is petite, incognito and bad-to-the-bone! Her hard work and consistent effort are solid contributions to our team's success every tournament. She is always ready and eager to play. Sydney has been a huge asset for Aftershock, and others in the past, allowing regular teams to jump the minimum height throughout her career. Syd loves this game completely. Even though she has lost some of her speed over a decade, her heart and drive to play are obvious, giving it everything she has each time she steps on the mats with Tam. Sydney has also overcome some tough odds. We are so proud of this nearly 13 year old, fully recovering and returning to the race lanes this year after TPLO surgery a month before her 12 birthday. Her enthusiasm and love for the sport is inspiring and she is an invaluable member of this team and region.

Henry has been a solid height dog, able to run in any position, from the beginning of his career on 2 Fast Fur U to his current position on Patriot Flyball with a personal best time of 3.801 seconds. In only his 4th tournament ever, Henry was the height dog at CanAm 2013 when 2 Fast Fur U won Regular Division 9. Henry participated on teams that won Regional Championships for Region 13 in 2018 and 2019, were First Runner Up Regional Championships in 2017 and 2014, and Second Runner Up in 2016 and 2015. Over his career, Henry continued to help teams set new team records. First 2 Fast Fur U reached the fastest time of 15.438 seconds and in 2021, and after joining Patriot Flyball helped them set a new team record with the fastest time of 16.420 seconds at 9 years of age. In 2022, Henry traveled with Patriot Flyball to help promote the sport of flyball by participating in the ESPN taping of the AKC Flyball Dog Challenge in Concord, North Carolina. In his spare time, Henry enjoys dock diving having earned the #1 spot in Lap Dog Elite in NADD (2021) and loves traveling with his family.

The Dixie Flyers nominate Australian Shepherd, Worth, from Music City Road Dogs for 2022 MVP for Region 14. Worth picked Jane from the beginning. At flyball practice, he wanted to play so bad that he would move the crate across the room. Worth is a vital part of the Music City Road Dogs club as a solid competitor. His steady and dependable nature taught many new dogs to pass and helped new handlers learn the game. Worth takes his flyball job very seriously, but the joy he exhibits running is undeniable. At almost 11 years old, Worth is still a serious competitor and the most seasoned member of Music City Road Dogs, with an IRONDOG, a recently earned FGDCh-90K, and one of NAFA's top 10 Australian Shepherds (out of 1,830). While he is invaluable to Music City Road Dogs, he also runs with many teams when they need his speed and dependability. For these reasons, the Dixie Flyers are honored to nominate Worth as Region 14's MVP for 2022.

I'd like to nominate our Lab, Andi. Last year was a tough year for Andi. She was owned by Charlene Schilling, who was a TGIF member and the former captain of SW. During a trip in August 2021, Charlene became very ill and was hospitalized for weeks. TGIF was signed up for two tournaments so Andi ran for our teammate, Jamie. Due to COVID, Char's illness and untimely death, plus many other things, TGIF was not able to run as a team until recently – a full year since our last tournament. Not good for a dog with a bobbling problem. Andi moved in with Melissa and Craig (she adores Daddy!) in January. She settled into her new home where she has a dog to play with every day and gets to run around the yard chasing her precious tennis ball. Melissa has been working on her coordination, recall, and many other things. All of this culminated over Labor Day weekend into a dog that did not bobble while racing, stayed true to her lane, and ran 4.6-4.8's! All with a smile on her face! She was so happy to be back! Flyball is Andi's happy place! Definitely MVP worthy!

Lexi has spent her career not only helping Obsessed K9s on their line ups, but prior, HEA. Lexi has ran on open and earned points in regions 2, 9, 13, 14, 15, and at CanAm. Lexi is unique in that she can run in any position despite her small size; just make sure you have her cookie at the end. Lexi loves the game of flyball and does not let anything get in her way of playing. She has the most heart out of most height dogs that I have met. Despite almost career ending injuries, she continues to run full time as a height dog at the age of 11 years old and in the high 5s. Known for her “barklash,” she is reliable and consistent at every tournament. She has even helped train multiple green dogs. That is why, Obsessed K9s would like to nominate Lexi, as region 15 MVP.

Freedom, a small, barky, black, female Border Whippet, ran her little heart out while in the start position, on both a Multibreed and Regular team at CanAm, for Pacific Pups, in October of 2021. She did so to give her club two chances to go deep into Sunday's competition. One of those chances bore fruit, and her club took home the Division Four title as a result of her and the club's efforts. Without her, the club would not even have had the opportunity to bring home a CanAm title to region 16. She gave the club two chances, and one worked out perfectly. Once back home in Hayward, California, Freedom knew it was time to get to work in Region 16. Again, running in the start position, "Free" led her club into first place in the Multibreed R16 standings, with four first place wins. As the clock now runs out on this 21-22 season, Pacific Pups have firmly clinched the Region 16 Multibreed title, because of her drive. Our fastest dog is Freedom. Our most reliable dog is Freedom. Our most clutch dog is Freedom. This has been proven nationally, regionally, and emotionally. Thank you for your consideration.

Ricochet arrived in Alaska in 2013, a gangly, wonky-eared puppy. Our states first Border Whippet. We all wanted to dabble with such a creature, none of us were brave enough. But Cindy Rabe, having raised cavaliers was the obvious choice. 2015, RR's Pinball Wizard made his debut. This boy had a need for speed. He went from 3.8's to 3.6's in the span of two months. And a year later, in 2016, he posted a PB of 3.537 at CanAm. "Ric" loved to really open up in Indianapolis. He ushered his club, Alaska Dogs Gone Wild, to multiple Division Championships on that stage. Most recently, in 2021 he anchored his team to victory as the Regular 1 CanAm Classic Champions. Whether he was biting Toby's butt in the runback or racing to the kiddie pool at Solstice you had to love this boy's antics. He really was like a pinball, you pulled him back and let him fly and he rebounded off that box back to Cindy and it was brilliant. A Most Valuable Player in pioneering our Region to hit its first 15 second time, 15.815. We could not be more proud of this pair and their achievements.

Gracie has been playing flyball since she was 1. She learned flyball by coming to practice EVERY week and sitting there. Just watching her older brother play. Gracie was never a dog to play with toys, let alone a ball or fetch. Who would have EVER thought she would be the rockstar that she is. Gracie plays out of sheer COMPETITION. She loves the game. She loves the team. She loves the sport. Gracie is a dog that can be counted on time and time again. She can run in ANY position, with ANY dog, on ANY team. In her prime, she was a low to mid 4 second dog. At almost 11 years old, she still plays flyball and still loves it just as much as she did day 1! Go Gracie, GO!

RUFF would like to nominate Liesel as MVP for Region 19. She's enjoyed flyball for over 10 years, racing consistently with her signature high paw jump and animated backfield barking. She has helped many new RUFF and Region 19 dogs gain experience to get them ready for racing, lending a paw when distraction or camaraderie are needed. Liesel loves the game so much she can be run by anyone, and has even mastered running past her mom when judging. Many new handlers have learned to pass running Liesel. She graciously lets people experience final result excitement of team racing for the price of a few cookies from her treat bag, showing what they can soon achieve with their own best bud. Her competitive spirit still comes out on vets teams where she had her first 0.00 start at RUFF's June 2022 tournament.

I am nominating "Rusty" for MVP. Rusty has raced for over 13 years despite torn ACL's with TPLO surgery twice, and multiple broken toes throughout his career. His love for flyball kept him coming back to earn 50,000 points this year, still racing at 15. He continues to race with as much heart today, as he did when he started in 2009. He has run with nearly every team in the region as the reliable little height dog that he is – High Desert Sundogs, DEO Speedwaggin', Hole in the Wall Gang, Ruff, Denver Speed Demons, 4 Dog Blitz, Phantom Flyers, Westside Woofers, Agents of Chaos and Bad Company. He competed in Can Am in 2013, 2016 and 2018, having already earned his Iron Dog in 2017. He will compete in Can Am a fourth time in 2022. He can run with any dog, in any position, with any handler. He has always been, and still is, used to train new handlers, and new dogs. Although he would run forever if you let him, he will soon retire. Tesla is a tiny power house in Region 19. Aside from being a force to race in the lanes, she's proven to be a fantastic training dog. Her work ethic allows her to blow off dogs goofing around or chasing while learning the game. Her entire career she's practiced with many clubs helping train up this generation of racing dogs. She's been an asset since day 1 and deserves recognition besides being a fan favorite.

Mutter Chaos flyball club would like to nominate Holmes for Region 21 MVP. Holmes had a tenuous start in life- he was rescued from the battlefield of a Civil War reenactment. Black powder musket fire all around made for one terrified puppy. Who knew after that beginning that Holmes was secretly made to play flyball? Carol and Holmes were founding members of Mutter Chaos. If you don't know Carol and Holmes they can easily be identified by the MC colors they flaunt proudly. From Carol's sneakers to her bento box and Holmes's leash to his wraps they ARE Mutter Chaos Flyball. Carol and Holmes rarely miss a regional tournament. Holmes can race in any position and is always ready to race. He will run for anyone and he can be used to train new handlers as well as new dogs. Holmes has helped train every dog you see racing with Mutter Chaos. And as the team owner, the team itself would not be possible without Carol's commitment to the sport. There is no better embodiment of a true regional MVP. It is an honor and a pleasure to be able to race with Holmes and call him our teammate. Nominator Angelic Alcorn
